ABU MAMAK HERE WE COME !

Be ready for a........
 SERIOUS FOOD HUNTING SESSION
here in ABU .

Being a penangnite, we have to dine out during odd hours countless time at various Mamak stalls here. It is such shameful if you are a Penangite but you are not aware there is such  a decent mamak restaurant located at Lorong Macalister -Restaurant KSB Cahaya or some local people called it as Mee Abu or Abu Mamak Stall. It was never too late as I organized my stomach with a less calories dinner so I will be yearning for supper later.

Most favorable food here in Abu Mamak , Maggi Goreng

Our favourite in mamak stall always had been Maggi Goreng. You could either pick Maggi Goreng Ayam (RM5.70) or Maggi Goreng Biasa (RM4.00). Frankly speaking, the fried chicken is not that great and I suggest you could give it a skip but i would say the Maggi goreng is awesome and definitely suit my taste well. Topped with a sunny side up, the maggi goreng has a little spicy  and tingling sensation and this is call for the differentiation with others.

Paying ? you can use the typical ways "Ah Neh Kira" that means you want  to pay the bill . The person incharge will come to your table and started to count each foods that you ate in a very fun way . The most interesting part is , he will count the total without using any calculator even if you come about 50 or 60 people. Amazing isn’t it?

Roti Hong Kong for those who never been to Hong Kong .hahahahaha

I was attracted by the name Roti Hong Kong (RM5.00).It is appears to be something similar to a Western style breakfast then. Pieces of toast and hotdog topped with chili sauce, mayonnaise , half melted cheese and an egg concealed in the condiment offering little surprises as compared to its name.

Roti Argentina for Argentina Supportters ! hehehe

Restaurant KSB Cahaya also offer an extensive ranges of roti canai with a very interesting names which represent their identity such as Roti Abu , Roti Hong Kong , Roti Chelsea , Roti Holland , Roti Christmas and others which I could not recall. But one of the most famous roti is Roti Abu (RM6.00). It is something like murtabak , well grilled with chicken slices stuffed in between the thin floor bed. Topped with mayonnaise and some raisins. It is unlikely you will find this anywhere else in Malaysia.

'Milo Dinasour' is a must try drinks or you will regret it later

Since we have already had the so-called-main-dishes, our journey could not be completed without having their Milo Dinosaur (RM2.70) and Horlicks Dinosaur (RM2.70) . Dinosaur literally means an exorbitant amount of the drink powder is being used to topped the drink, rendering the drink possess strong smell of both Milo and Horlick as your pick.
